Deb Rasmussen joined Stam Law Firm, PLLC, in January of 2024. She practices in the areas of Estate Planning and Real Estate.
Before diving into the legal profession, Deb successfully founded and managed businesses in international exchange, scrapbooking, publishing, and scanning. She mentored other small business owners. Coming from the memory-keeping business, Deb cares not only about protecting your physical and digital assets, but also about the legacy you leave behind for your loved ones. Just prior to law school, she worked as a paralegal for Jonathan Richardson, helping with estate planning and real estate transactions.
Deb comes to the practice of law with a passion for the intersection of law and emerging technologies, like Artificial Intelligence (“A.I.”).
Deb Rasmussen was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2023 and began her career as a licensed attorney as a clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Donna Stroud of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Deb Rasmussen is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, 10th Judicial District Bar, Wake County Bar Association, Real Estate Lawyers Association of North Carolina, and the J. Reuben Clark Legal Society.

Deb Rasmussen has worked with orphanages in Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, and Uganda. She was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fukuoka, Japan for eighteen months. She was a Spiritual Care worker at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Deb has also assisted with relief efforts, including answering calls and creating work orders for the clean-up hotline during Hurricanes Florence and Michael.
Deb and her husband, Lars, made their home in North Carolina in 2017. They have four children: Samantha, Joshua, Daniel, and Noah. The Rasmussen Family enjoys traveling, board games, karaoke, movies, and watching sports.
